Marshall Nordic Ski Team Athletes

The Marshall School Nordic Hilltoppers will travel to  Mt Itasca in Coleraine, Minnesota on Saturday, December 19, 2009.

Mt Itasca is the site for the 2009 Biathlon World Championship Team Trials. The course is in fantastic shape and all skiers will be able to use their best skis.

Here is a time schedule for the events of the day for Marshall Nordic

9:00 am Bus Leaves Marshall
11:00 am Marshall Nordic Team members watch the biathlon sprint competition.
1:00 pm Warm-up and course inspection on the 2.5 k course

2:30 Racing Starts         Order of Events:

Boys Upper School 5k Freestyle (2 laps 2.5k course)
Girls Upper School 5k Freestyle (2 laps 2.5k course)
Boys Jr. High 3k Freestyle (2 laps 1.5k course)
Girls Jr. High 3k Freestyle (2 laps 1.5k course)

The bus will return to Marshall at approx. 5:15 pm

Marshall skiers will need warm clothing to watch the biathlon race and a healthy lunch to eat along with the normal race gear.
