DAN HEDIN CLASSIC

 

Canceled for 2009 due to cold conditions

 

 

 

 

What:  5.7 K classic

Where: Spirit Mountain Nordic Center

When:   Friday, January 16th

Marshall Skiers: Bus leaves school at 11:00 am

Time:    1:00 Boys’ Varsity

            1:30 Girls’ Varsity

            2:00 Boys’ JV followed by Girls’ JV (4K)

            3:00 Boys’ JH followed by Girls’ JH (4K)

 

Awards:  Nothing but satisfaction after a good race.

 

Team scoring: Your team can use 7 skiers as varsity, please indicate your varsity skiers, exhibition skiers can ski in the varsity race and we will generate a results list for varsity and the entire field.  Top 4 skiers count for team score.

 

Coaches Information:

Cost:  $5/skier, checks made out to Proctor High School

    Hi there! The Dan Hedin Classic is named after my brother. He passed away due to a car accident in June of 1992…shortly after his high school graduation (Proctor HS). He loved to ski, cross country and downhill, and it makes my entire family happy to see that the Dan Hedin Classic is still going. Sorry to hear it was too cold for it this year though :) Please let your skiers know that this event means a lot to our family. Thank you!
