West Yellowstone Report from Sarah J

Hi Team!!
This week at West Yellowstone, Montana has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. I’ve learned so much more about skiing and meet a ton of people of all abilities and levels. When we first got out here there was no snow so we were running and roller skiing, for the first two days. On Monday after an intense snow dance we got a 1 foot fall of snow over the night! Then the real fun started when we got to get up in the morning and go classical skiing for 3 hours! It was a long time to ski, but we skied in a huge group, taking turns leading and staying at a steady pace, it was one of the best skis I’ve been on! After our morning skiing we would come inside to the hotel room and eat a big lunch so we’d have enough energy to ski in the afternoon. In the afternoon we did various kinds of skiing. One day we got to ski with a man from the Subaru factory team and he worked on our skating technique with us which helped a lot! I really think everyone should try and go next year it’s a ton of fun to be around people that enjoy doing the same thing as you!
See you on Monday!
Captain Sarah
